Freckle is designed to help users get a better grasp on their time and where they spend it. The site is ideal for freelancers or business owners that may overlook many aspects of good time management. Through the intelligent Freckle features, users can find out where they spend most of their time, what days they work more effectively, and where hidden time sinks might be in their schedule. The application can also show the user which clients are less profitable than others. User scan review time budget breakdowns, reports, activity graphs, and hours spend daily on projects.
Freckle was designed by Amy Hoy, who wanted to create a tool that could handle all aspects of time management in a way that was more effective. Rather than just providing calendars and allowing users to record schedules, Freckle would help them actually improve how they spend their time. Effective time management is important to any business owner or independent contractor. Hours mean money, and Freckle helps users make the most of it without spending every waking hour on the job.
The intelligence of Freckle makes it stand out from traditional time keeping methods. For decades, professionals have been hand writing schedules in date books or keeping typed records on a computer through spreadsheets or scheduling programs. While these can work, they really do not tell the user anything about their schedule or how they can improve it. Freckle provides more insight into areas that could pose problems for the user as well as where they make most of their money (or rather, when they make it). Through Freckle, users can find ways to make the most of each working hour so they never have to spend more time than they should on something that doesn’t pay out.
Along with a helpful, intelligent approach to scheduling, LetsFreckle.com is also very friendly. The site calls itself “holistic”, and that seems to be accurate. Light colors highlight headers and help break the tools down for the user. Easy to read charts and graphs can also be reviewed so the user can find out what they are really doing with their time.
Users can click on the green “Sign up!” button found along the top left hand side of the homepage. The user can choose from three account types by clicking on the corresponding “Sign up” button. The registration form asks for basic contact details, such as first and last name, email address, desired username and a password (which can be voluntarily hidden if the user prefers). The user can then enter their preferred Freckle URL and billing information. After checking the terms of service agreement box at the bottom of the form, the user can complete registration by clicking the bright pink arrow.
Users can choose from three affordable Freckle accounts. The least expensive is the Freelancer or Soloist membership. This account runs about $12 per month and allows one user. The Small Team account runs about $25 per month and allows up to five user accounts. The Medium Team account runs just under $50 per month and allows up to 15 user accounts. Users that need up to 50 user accounts can contact Freckle to get a quote.
Freckle is a great resource for professionals looking for a fun, easy way to manage their time better. Although the site’s appearance is lighthearted, the tools it offers are very professional and beneficial. Users can improve how they user their time which can mean less working hours and more money earned. The accounts are affordable and include all features (only the number of user accounts is limited).
